With the rapid development of modern technology, the large cylinder section tends to be large-scale and the demand is increasing,as national important technique equipment and parts of major construction projects. The cylinder section components is huge in size, and the surface state is poor, the cutting parameters is much more than middle and small machine; the cutting temperature is up to 1000℃, which cause cutting tool bonded and seriously damaged, low processing efficiency and serious damage to economic and social benefits. How to achieve cutting economically and efficiently is the continual researching and exploring subject of large cylinder section processing industry. The metal cutting database developed by using computer technology, can provide reasonable cutting parameters for cutting process quickly and efficiently. The processing quality and production efficiency of mechanical products can be improved meanwhile the competitiveness enhanced.This paper researches and analyzes from the following aspects:According to the cutting characteristics of large-scale cylinder section, the database system of heavy cutting parameters optimization is built, using Visual C++6.0 and SQL Server2000 as programming tool. Based on object-oriented design methods, the query and manage of cutting parameters such as tools, machine tools and the work pieces and so on can be implemented in real time.The data provided by cutting database mostly come from experience or the existing manual which are only feasible not the best data, so only establishing the cutting database is not enough for large-scale cylinder section processing.According to that, the database of heavy cutting parameters optimization system is built in this paper to provide the basis for cutting parameters optimization, including case library, optimization parameter database, and factual knowledge base and so on.The research and analysis of interactive grid optimization algorithm based on knowledge is also made to achieve the optimization of three elements such as machine tool, cutting tool, and cutting.This paper also stored the relevant images, multimedia video, the corresponding references and other information, so that the database became more comprehensive and more bountiful.The model of database system of heavy cutting parameters optimization is built and a detailed analysis of each function module studied. The optimal cutting parameters accorded with processing requirements are given, which can guide the specific process and enhance the level of production and managements to a certain extent.
