The video mosaic for large view is a technique which creates one large view video from some narrow view videos captured with cameras whose position was set as some rule. The video mosaic technique for large view is one hot research point in the field of computer graphics and virtual reality. The application of video mosaic technique for large view has covered the fields of multimedia exhibition and video monitoring. However, the synchronizer is necessary for the traditional video mosaic method to start cameras at the same time, which limits the application area of video mosaic seriously or affect the performance of algorithm to improve. Moreover, there are some flaws in the time efficiency of traditional video mosaic method. This paper studies the video mosaic technique for large view based on double-cameras. Based on studies above, this paper tries to design one software method to start cameras used in the video mosaic at the same point in order to eliminate the limitation on the application of traditional video mosaic, and improves the performance of traditional algorithm by combining the characteristic of video mosaic and traditional algorithm. This article mainly includes the followings: (A) Design one kind of auto frame alignment method to align the frames in the source video by software in order to eliminate the limitation caused by the using of synchronizer trigger in order to wide the application area of video mosaic and to high its usability.(B) In order to reach the demands of video mosaic, a mount of models were created and verified by traditional RANSAC method, which consumes a lot of time. In this paper, one improved RANSAC method was presented to reduce the time cost of traditional method. Compare to traditional method, the new method reduced the time cost efficiently.One frame alignment method applicable to video mosaic based on double-cameras is proposed after intensive study. This method can automatically align the frames under some acceptable conditions which eliminate the limitation on video mosaic caused by synchronizer trigger. After intensive study on traditional mosaic method, according to the property of video mosaic, one improved RANSAC method was presented by improve traditional RANSAC method.By contrast the result of traditional algorithm and improved algorithm in the experiment with plenty of experiments, this paper testified the effect and performance of improved method.
