Development Of Security Office Automation System And Research Of Gradational Security Protection

There is particular provision on security system in every nation for the system's particularity in use and its information's importance, and in China we use "gradational security protection" as security systems' protection tactics.Security office automation (OA) is typical information system, and is usually used in the departments of security, intelligence and defense. These systems comply with the national standards of gradational security protection to safeguard the information effectively.Based on a system re-development of an institute in the defense section, this paper introduces the design and development process of a security OA system which uses Lotus Domino/Notes and J2EE tools. The goal of improving efficiency with information-flow and collaboration inside the institute is achieved with the new system, and the safety is guaranteed with the use of national gradational security protection standard. The experience of design this sort of system is summarized here. Some solutions in system construction stage are offered to meet conventional operational problems of this kind of systems, and they constitute a simple security OA system development model which directs the system structure, access control strategy, data storage and so forth in system construction. Some opinions about gradational security protection referred in this paper are used in this project, and some not, but are all based on gradational idea. They are positive to security of information systems, and can be considered in the development later.
