Research On System And Application Of Software Defect Management Based On CMMI4

As information technology and internet develop rapidly, software is permeating all areas of our life, and gradually becomes a essential elements of social activities and daily life, which played a pivotal role for the development of the national economy. As applications of software is wider and wider, software defects caused frequent accidents, which Sounds a alarm for the enterprise, the traditional recording-based defect management approaches have failed to meets the quality requirements of deliver products from customer. So it is urgent to improve product quality by quantitative management and forecast of defects.This article summarizes the software defect management, defect management system, and analyzed and summarized for different defect management methods. It is found that researches focused on defects metrics, defect management tools and defect classification. By sorting out the domestic and foreign research, we found that defect management is still focused on bug fixes, bug tracking, defect cause analysis, and defect management based on quantitative study has not yet mature. Study on the CMMI model, refining requirements of CMMI4 for defect management, and proposed a software defect management system based on CMMI4 and detailed methods and concrete steps. Finally, put it into enterprise to be verified.Studies have shown that it can effectively improve software quality, delay of delivery, organization's capability maturity and customer's satisfaction by the process performance baselines and process performance models to predict and control software defects. At the same time, we can find the reasons caused the exception, perceived risk, predict achievement of the goals, adjust project plans and sub plans, and deploy resources to ensure the realization of organizational goals.
