The twenty-first century is the century of information. Along with the development of computer and network technology, information and digital has become the one of the main ways to develop the technology and management work from traditional means to the modern methods. This article refers to the Tianjin Port; it is a port accumulated rich waterway measuring project implementation experience, and a great deal of water depth measuring data which are volume and complex. If to find a range of data in one period, or a particular value of data, staff usually will cost a lot of time and manpower. And after bathymetric survey, the measurement data results submitted to the client is simply water depth chart and water depth data files and unable to provide more advanced data management, project analysis, and service content such as terrain demonstration.By means of database technology, GIS technology and virtual reality technology, constructing management& analysis system applicable to port water depth analysis, navigation management and dredging management, it may conduct 3D simulation of both port land scene and underwater channel for navigation safety alarm integrated software system. In this project, it completed the system prophase research, requirement analysis, system design, writing of this article, and wrote substantial code in the process of development of the system: mainly responsible for the database system design, table structure design, and database module; And in the 3D module, the author accomplished 3D roaming display, underwater 3D terrain generation, navigation channels shallow point warning analysis, and navigation analysis.Applying this project result to port channel management department, it will change the traditional practices that planning, design and management department depends heavily on the planar water depth chart. It can achieve all-rounded, convenient channel management by vivid, realistic underwater 3D terrain from multifarious water depth data, and through system early warning of the water depth.
