Based on the Complex Adaptive System Theory, multi-agent modeling andsimulation provides a new approach to study complex systems and becomes one of themost popular methods in this domain. This thesis studied the architecture and keytechniques of multi-agent platform for distributed simulation of complex systems.Firstly, under the direction of Complex Adaptive System Theory, thecharacteristics of multi-agent complex system simulation are analyzed. The criticaltechniques of multi-agent platform for simulation of Complex System are summarizedin four aspects: techniques to provide elementary support, techniques to providesimulation support, techniques to provide multi-agent modeling support, and methodsfor observation and intervention of the simulation. The architecture of multi-agentplatform for simulation of complex system is then proposed.Secondly, a causal order distributed simulation agent time management algorithmis presented. After pointing out the drawback of timestamp order time managementalgorithm, the necessary of time management in distributed simulation is analyzed.Then the research and development of current causal order time management algorithmis introduced and a reformative algorithm, causal order distributed simulation agent timemanagement algorithm is proposed according to MSES, a causal order timemanagement algorithm. Experimental results show the correctness and efficiency of ouralgorithm.Finally, a simulation application to forecast the trend of public scientific literacyand study the effect of science popularization in Hunan province is designed andimplemented. This problem is considered as a typical complexity problem.The processto modeling and simulating the wholeness is also presented. With this approach, thewholeness of science popularization system in Hunan province is modeled, and severalmodels for environment, agents and external excitations are also constructed. Check thereliability of Advanced Jcass platform,initialize and run the simulation on the basis ofreal system data; Expand the application of the Advanced Jcass.
