As a branch of the information hiding technology, steganography is tight combination of computing Science and image processing technologies. Steganalysis is the reverse of digital steganography, and its main purpose is to detect, extract, restore, and destroy the hidden secret information. This interaction of the opposing sides spurs the information hiding technology in the last two decades to obtain rapid development. As the most important steganography, matching steganography has a strong anti-steganalyzing capability, performs well on the concealment and becomes the focus of the information hiding field.Firstly, we introduce the primary principles and the frames of steganography and steganalysis. Then, we describe least significant bit (LSB) steganography, and give a strict proof for the key issue of the algorithm. To meet the need of hiding lots of secret information, we give a beneficial attempt and a constructive discussion on the multibit matching steganography. Finally, considered with their own characteristics and the results of steganalysis, we gives a comprehensive evaluation on different steganographies.
