In industrial production, the temperature-control is playing a important role. For photo- electric detector, how to reduce or eliminate noise is a very important problem. Because the inherent noise of photoelectric detector is related to the temperature of the detector's working environment, so if we can control the temperature we will control the detector noise. This paper introduces a kind of temperature control system based on TEC (Thermoelectric Cooler). This system can control the temperature of an enclosed space from -20℃to 60℃quickly and accurately.TEC is to use the Peltier effect to work, which has small size, light weight, long life, no noise, no mechanical movement, heating cooling rapidly, high control precision, does not require refrigeration agents, pollution and so on.The paper presents the design of the temperature control system including single-chip computer systems, temperature measuring system, the temperature of the input and display, and semiconductor refrigeration inverter power drive. Temperature measurement system read the temperature of the system through the temperature sensor. Input the temperature into the microcontroller and calculate the amount of control through the PID control algorithm. As the amount is a digital quantity, first we must convert the amount into a voltage through the D / A converter , then drive the TEC by a TEC drive circuit, the temperature of system can be controlled. We can easily adjust the target temperature by the input module , and display the current temperature of system's through the display module.In the temperature control system introduced in this paper, the control algorithm is a very important part. The PID is adopted which is widely used classical control algorithm. Its advantages are simple structure, practical, low price and good control effect.
