Applying Computer Simulation Technology For Project Construction Management

Construction industry is one of the pillar industries, which makes significant contribution to the economic development of our country. But at present, the overall management level of the construction industry is relatively low, there are still lots of problems in project management, such as over budget, beyond duration, serious waste, quality and safety accidents occurring frequently and so on. The construction process of Large-scale project is very complex, involving many factors, and then scientific and reasonable construction schedule and resources plans must be formulated in order to make engineering construction smoothly. Traditional planning method (such as CPM) is a static method, which has certain limitation. On the contrary, simulation technology can dynamically simulate construction process, and prepare better tools and methods for accurate construction plan. This paper introduces a new method-ABC system, and applies it to construction simulation based on summarizing the existing simulation methods used in construction,and puts forward the new idea that combining CPM with ABC for modeling.Due to the complexity of the simulation modeling and according to the different characteristics of engineering construction, this paper separately discusses two kinds of construction simulation model, concrete dam construction model and high-rise building construction model.The main research work are as follows:①Systematically summarize simulation system and its research status, which is used in construction management;②Detailed introduces the fundamental principle of ABC simulation system and provides brief introduction about ABC software;③Summarizes the construction characteristics of concrete dam, and gives detailed analysis the modeling method of it. In addition, the paper puts forward the new ideas that combining CPM with ABC for building the model of dam,which considers CPM as the control layer and ABC as the implement layer, according to the construction characteristics of gravity dam. Then the modeling method is applied to WuYiQiao hydropower dam construction simulation, and the paper gives detailed analysis for the process of modeling and simulation results, at last parts of resources have been optimized;④Summarizes the construction characteristics of the high-rise building, analyzes the simulation and modeling methods of standard layer construction,and puts forward another modeling method which combines ABC with CPM. Differently from concrete dam model, the method considers ABC as the control layer, CPM with ABC as the implement layer. At last, this method is applied to a construction project in GuiYang, and puts forward the concept of Duration Cost in order to determine the optimal case. After that, the simulation results of the optimal case are analyzed in detail.⑤Finally, the paper compares the concrete dam construction model and high-rise building construction model and summarizes the similarities and differences.
