Research On Object Recognition For The Visually Impaired People For Indoor

Along with the rapid population growth, the number of visually impaired people also significantly increased, also has the population aging along with it grown .The visually impaired people living and travel issues much attention .In the rapid development of machine vision , research on the electric Travel Aid system has also developed rapidly. Therefore, it is crucial to develop an easy-to-use and cost-efficient electronic guiding system to improve the lives of the visually disabled.This paper studies to help blind system in indoor environment. image acquisition and image processing to object recognition, the user is told recognition result by voice. However, in indoor environment objects are varied and shapes, color is also multifarious, the use of traditional image processing method, it is hard to objects from background image segmentation. Therefore, this study aimed at different items paste the corresponding labels, Therefore, this article in view of the different items paste the corresponding label, the transformation of object recognition , thus reducing the computation to speed. this system's collection through the camera , object recognition in the image area of the label. At the same time, the items for indoor speech database was established and database objects information, when the label is translated, the binary code corresponding to the value of direct calls to voice library for voice data transmission.Based on LabVIEW 8.5 platform, Experiments show that this method can help the blind to know the object of information the target with high adaptability .
