Design And Implementation Of The Offline Access Module Of Enterprise Collaboration Software

Currently, the computer network is more and more widely used in our daily life and work, so the web applications are subject to a large degree of attention. But because of the limits of the network, many network users can not access to the network timely or the connectivity state of the network is unstable, so how to help the users enjoy the anywhere and anytime web application is worthy of doing some research.Based on the Lotus Notes enterprise collaboration software this paper explores and practices a way to solve the offline web application. Currently there are two ways to realize the offline web applications, one is based on desktop application, it is that by installing software in the customer computer complete the offline application. The other way is based on web offline application, it is that complete the offline application by the browser plug-in. In order to accommodate more platforms, achieve better reusability and better user's experience, in this paper the second method which is the web offline application is adopted to implement the offline web application of the Lotus Notes enterprise collaboration software, the whole offline module of the enterprise collaboration software is released, installed, and used in the form of a browser plug-in.Through analyzing the requirements of the enterprise collaboration software users'offline behavior, apply object-oriented approach to design the system, and achieve the offline plug-in module and the synchronize manager module of Lotus Notes software by adopting B/S architecture and the NPAPI framework in this paper. The offline plug-in help users operate the web applications of Notes when they are offline. The synchronize manager help users manage offline subscription at local which is also called local copy of the web application. Through the offline plug-in module and the synchronize manager module the users can use and manage the web application when they are offline.In this paper I achieve the offline module of enterprise collaboration software, support the Notes system users' offline application, enhance the convenience of the system, effectively improve the work efficiency of collaboration between enterprise users, improve the user's satisfaction about the enterprise collaboration software.
