With the rapid development of LED industry, large amounts of LED devices areneeded in lives and manufacture, and higher standards are required. So high brightness,low cost, high reliability, miniaturization become the development direction of the LEDlightning devices. In order to achieve high brightness requirements to single LED device,blindly increasing the input power is not realistic, because high power would cause highjunction temperature which can reduce the useful life and cause low reliability, LED Arraycan improve the upper limit of input power, but higher integration make the heatdissipation problems more prominent, and the heat dissipation become the bottleneck ofthe development of LED. So the research on the highly efficient heat dissipation structureis necessary and urgent.The main context studied in this paper is from the National Natural Science Fund"Study of cooling technology to high power LED lightning system based on the dynamicmodel identification". And high power LED Array is the object in this paper, two ways ofLED Array structure are introduced, the models of thermal resistance network are built,and the cooling effect of different arrangement to the LED Array is analyzed, meanwhilewater cooling is studied based on the finite volume method, The ways of inlet and outlet,the length of channel, the entrance water speed, channel number, angle change to the inletchannel are studied separately, the result of simulation about these factors indicate that: thecooling effect about different sides single inlet and single outlet is stronger than theipsilateral single inlet and single outlet; Shorting the channel can greatly reduce thehighest temperature of the cold plate; increasing the entrance velocity can obviouslyimprove heat dissipation effect, but the cooling effect improve weakly when the velocityreaches a certain value; the channel number can effect in a certain range, and an optimalvalue is existing to a specific structure; the angle change to the inlet channel has littleeffect. These deep analyses on water cooling structure can guide the design in actualproject.Finally, according to using environment of the LED Array devices, a simple control method is put forward for water cooling structure and as for the regional large-scale using,intelligent control is prospected.
