Due to the rapid development of wireless communication technology, smart phonehas become a hot spot in information technology industrial. A large number ofinnovative applications, based on high performance of smart phone hardware andsoftware platform, take new changes to people's work, study and life.Speech quality is an important indicator in wireless communication system, thecommunication network operator concerns this indicator very much, so the accurate andeffective speech quality assessment technique is one of the key technologies forimproving the communication system performance. In this paper, based on Symbiansmart phone operating platform, proposed and designed a speech quality assessmentsystem. For details, the thesis unfolds the work as follows:Firstly, the thesis anlayzes the main smart phone operating platforms on the marketcurrently, introduces the the Symbian OS architectural features and the applicationdevelopment environment framework of S60 platform.Secondly, the thesis anlayzes the speech quality assessment methods of thewireless communication network based on mobile platform, proposes a speech qualityassessment system based on Symbian operating system.Thirdly the paper proposes and realizes an answer tone capture algorithm, andgives the speech quality assessment algorithm optimization methods in detail.Lastly, the thesis concludes the realization of the system main modules' functions,tests and analyzes the main modules of the system.Through experimental results, it is can seen that, the paper respects on engineeringpractice, designs and realizes a speech quality assessment system based on the Symbianplatform, have a certain reference value for smart phones speech quality assessment.
