In recent years, RFID has been very popular in the retail, logistics, production line tracking, transportation and other related areas. especiallyin the field of retail logistics where RFID has bright prospects. Nowadaysretail is one of the largest industries with annual sales of 36 trillion. Retailis also one of the most suitable areas in the application of RFID. The reportof the IdTechEx notes that the application of the retail industry in 2016will account for 44% of the RFID market, for the application of RFID willlead the retail supply chain integrated more tightly, and gives retailsignificant benefits, In front of the big cake of RFID, companies likeWal-Mart, Metro and government agencies such as the U.S. Department ofDefense show a great interest, and be having obtained great benefits fromthe application of RFID.The application of RFID technology in retail is at a low stage in ourcountry and there are factors. This thesis wills analysis RFID applicationfrom the point of technical and economic. In the field of technical, thisthesis uses Maturity Model to analyze it, through establishing atwo-dimensional model defines the maturity of RFID technologyapplication by the label application level and the management level ofcoordination, and analysis of RFID technology by the five key indicatorsof maturity; and analyzes economic from two perspectives; One is whether the application of RFID is reasonable to the whole supply chain, to solvethis problem, this thesis uses Real Option Model in which involves fiveparameters to assess the value of RFID in the overall projects, and thisarticle use of inventory optimization model, cost-effectiveness model todetermine the parameters based on the analysis process; the other iswhether the RFID project is reasonable for the members of the supplychain. To solve the second problem, this thesis uses the separable andinseparable cost allocation method, combined with the application of RFIDto analyze it. The sharing standards for RFID project investment is theexpected benefit to the involving members. This thesis analyzes the RFID projects mainly from the point oftechnical and economics. Through the use of the maturity model fortechnical analysis, the thesis provide guidance for the application of RFIDtechnology; through the analysis of the economic valuation of investmentsin RFID projects, this thesis provide a reference for the investment inRFID projects; through the use of separable and inseparable cost-sharingmethods, this thesis provide a reference for the actual investment in theapplication of the RFID project, coordinated interest for RFID investment. The whole analysis framework and the analysis idea has great significantand references in the application of RFID in retail.
