This access control system based on portal protocol unified in the practice company's switchboard product development specific items, researches the portal authentication technology and realizes the portal authentication on the switchboard's application and implementation under a variety of kinds of network ways, and achieves the goal that it would control user access to the network.The paper starts with the network security and the stability under the traditional network environment. It introduces Portal protocol's basic message structure as well as the implementation principle of Portal authentication technology, and analyzes the superiority of Portal authentication technology compared with other authentication technology such as 802.1x, PPPoE and so on. Then the access control system based on Portal protocol was achieved.Portal authentication is also called Web authentication, which is as a way to achieve the control of users to access network resources. Since the birth of network, authentication, authorization and accounting system (AAA) has become the network's basis for operations. In the network, the use of various resources all needs authenticate, authorized and accounting process's management. Then Portal authentication technology provides flexible access control mechanism, and the authentication progress would complete quickly and that only needs the HTTP page to receive user's inputted user name and the password. In course of portal authentication process, you don't use other client authentication software. Furthermore, Portal authentication can protect critical data entries as well.This thesis analysis the related technology of portal authentication technology and combined with the practical application of the network. It begins with the user's authentication request, and focuses on the message interactive process to verify the user's information between the portal server and switchboard product. As the portal server was unreachable and its influence on users to access network, Portal would cancel the network authentication mechanism and guarantee the user's network service. At the same time, the user information synchronization technology would powerfully safeguard the user not to present long time and couldn't be logout that can be unexpected. In addition, Portal extensions would provide more reliable access control that can greatly enhance the security of the terminal. Finally, from the perspective of project development, it ends with the system test and the test problems, and gives the solutions.
