In recent years, with the Internet's rapid development and rapid spread of information technology, Web-based application has become more and more, in which the management information system form traditional C/S model transiting to the modern Web model is a particularly evident trend. Since discipline is an important part of the college building, developing a management information system for discipline is essential. It's an important guarantee to construct an informatization and networking college. Base on this background, this thesis combines with my actual project to detailedly introduce concrete designs and implements in the management information system of discipline.Above all, this thesis analyzes the building of college and the development of management information system. And then, the idea of Web2.0 and ExtJS framework are overviewed. Three lightweight framework–Struts, Spring and Hibernate are briefly introduced. The deficiency of SSH framework in the front-end is made up with ExtJS framework. Then, Ext-SSH framework can be used to design and realize in the system according to the demands of function. System is also optimized in allusion to the performance problem in the process of system development. After a series of testing and debugging to the system, system owns a wide range of adaptability, scalability, versatility and accuracy. Finally, the thesis is summarized. System based on ExtJS framework for the development has excellent reliability, easy maintenance, great user experience and aesthetics. According to the existing problems and deficiencies in the system and more proficient developing Web management information system with ExtJS framework, prospects for the future research are discussed.
