| With the development of criminal investigation, the existing National Fingerprint Information System which is only a platform for exchange data between the provincial and the centre, cannot meet the needs of inter-departmental and inter-regional co-fingerprint check, visit between heterogeneous systems, improve the automated fingerprint check in different places together, fingerprint management, application of standardization, and long-term integration. So we need to update the existing systems to realize the interconnection and resource sharing between centre, provincial and city, and gradually giving out comparison-based remote service which will play an important role in the fingerprint information resources in detecting and combating crime.Based on this situation, the author participated in the development of National Fingerprint Information System used pattern recognition. This system can realize the data maintenance, data upload, download and transfer the fingerprint data between provincial systems and central system on investigation fingerprints; we also realized pattern matching. First we get the comparing the results, then transfer the comparison results between provincial systems and central system, the expert of the central system determinate on the results to realized central database management; In the fingerprint image Pattern matching, we using the basic algorithm, such as the calculation of the fingerprint image ridge orientation, fingerprint image segmentation, the fingerprint image enhancement, fingerprint image binarization, fingerprint image thinning and fingerprint image alignment algorithm and feature extraction algorithm to realized the pattern matching of fingerprint images.Finally, we test the compatibility, real-time data and data consistency of the system to demonstrate the compatibility and stability of this system. And we also find out some issues that should be improved and analyzed in the future. |
