As one of the important extreme physical conditions of modern scientific experiments, high magnetic field environment provides experimental platform for many disciplines, such as biology, chemistry and other applied research. It is divided into steady-state magnetic field and pulsed magnetic field. In recent years, much focus has been shifted on it, due to the higher magnetic field produced by pulsed magnetic field.This paper mainly introduces the subject on the construction of the pulsed magnetic field laboratory. Both the construction of the hardware and the design of the software are mentioned, but the design of the software system will be focused on and the hardware will be introduced briefly.According to the design principles of the pulsed magnetic field, especially the analysis of the requirements of the monitoring and control systems, this paper proposes the basic functions and architecture of the software. The control software is the direct operator of the monitoring and controlling function of the high magnetic field device and the bridge between the operator's directions and the device. The reliability of the control software and the normality of the process have direct effects the stability of the system, the safety of the workers and the device, and the proper process o the experiment. Hence, the control software plays a vital role in the system.The central control software is installed on the computer of the central control room, in charge of the configuration, management, monitoring and controlling of the whole system. It consists of three parts: the server, the client and the configuration tool. These three parts are installed on different computers and run independently. They work together with database servers, OPC servers to control the whole strong magnetic field.This paper introduces the development model of general software system and some frequently-used software architectures, such as the client-server architecture and the MVC net frame work. The PLC technology is widely applied in the system. Furthermore, this paper makes an introduction on OPC technology for NET platform and PLC. Varieties of measuring devices are used in the monitoring system. However, the interfaces of the devices are not all in consistency so the VISA technology is made use of in the system. The communication between the central computer and the individual hardware is base on TCP, which is fast and highly accurate. Besides, this paper talks about the implement of the functional models of the software system.
