In today's military war, electronic warfare has been becoming more and more important, and it is drawing more and more attention by all countries' military. How to avoid enemy interference and ensure the common effect of communication has become a key factor in modern war. Frequency-Hopping (FH) communication arises at the historic moment. Compared with the traditional communication, it has many merits, such as strong ability of anti-jamming, anti-fading, anti-interception, multi-access network and good compatibility. FH communication is especially the favor of anti-jamming communication of military tactics. In a war with complex electromagnetic conditions, it can strongly safeguard our army to establish stable and reliable voice or data communication, and therefore help our military obtain initiative of information warfare. In addition, FH communication has also been widely used in civil mobile communication, personal communication and so on.FH synchronization is one of the key technologies and also the difficulty in developing the FH communication system, transceiver can modify the error of communication based on quick and accurate establishment of FH synchronization, the performance of FH system has strong relation with FH synchronization, and synchronization capture and tracking in fast frequency hopping (FFH) becomes more difficult, it needs to design synchronization solution elaborately. So the author makes a comprehensive and profound research on FH synchronization technology and its realization, after analyzing uncertain factors of FH synchronization and common synchronization method, this paper brings forward combining synchronous head with time of day (TOD) method to realize FH synchronization, and in-depth research on sync frame format and synchronization capture, formulated the initial synchronization and its keeping method, which can establish synchronization fast and accurately and improve the performance of system. Finally, a software design for FH synchronization is realized by c programming on the chip of TMS320DM64+, which mainly realized FH control function, included FH synchronization search, synchronization acquisition, synchronization confirmation and synchronization tracking, and also implemented the interaction with ARM and FPGA on the digital platform. Then, for the performance of FH synchronization system the author makes a simple mathematical analysis, and its function and performance has been made detailed testing, the results show that the system satisfies the functions and performance requirements...
