As the Chinese news enterprises developing fast, more people join the journalist team and more glorious the job becomes. While the journalists work hard to realize their journalistic dreams, they are facing the danger brought by their work.The phenomenon that journalists suffered from violence for their news report can be dated back to the beginning of the modern journalism appeared in China. After the new era starts, the violence doesn't stop and becomes more severe in recent years. Therefore, this passage will, on one hand, explore more violence happened at different times and try to dig out the relationship between historical background and the violence phenomenon; on the other hand, it will illustrate more details about the violence the journalists suffered during their news making process, which includes the information collecting phase, information dealing phase and the after-information-release phase. According to the features and the effects, violence on the journalists can be divided into two patterns:hard violence and soft violence. Both of the two patterns inevitably suppress journalists'free thoughts and they violate the safety and professional rights of journalists, which may even have a negative effect on the whole journalistic world and do harm to the press growth.On this level, finding out the reasons under the phenomenon seems crucial and unavoidable. On the basis of the information about the violence happened to the journalists, the passage will focus on the interacting parts:the one violating and the one being violated, who may be both partly responsible for the violence. According to the reasons, the journalists should strengthen themselves to avoid or lessen the violence; Media Company as well as the whole journalistic world should work together to protect their workers; the whole society, especially the leaders should be supportive of the journalists and their work and provide more convenience for them.
