Vehicle Management System (VMS) is not only a fundamental system but also a key phase of the supplement chain in any organizations. But the degree of systematization, automation, normalization in nowadays VMSs still can't meet the needs. We propose that a future vehicle management system should be architecturally interconnecting, technically wireless, operationally automatic and functionally intelligent. This paper faces such requirements, introduces concepts and methods from IOT (Internet of Things), adopts various wireless communication and networking technologies, so to design an effective, automatic, flexible and friendly wireless VMS. Main contents of the dissertation are listed as follows.√Based on the objectives and tasks of the vehicle management, this dissertation uses case diagrams and activity diagrams to describe the system interfaces and transaction processes.√Based on the concepts of multi-domain integration and ubiquitous intelligence, the theoretical model for the wireless VMS is established.√Based on the architecture of Internet of Things, the functions, architecture and interfaces of the wireless VMS are designed. Using a variety of wireless technologies, the wireless VMS based on Internet of Things is implemented.System designed and implemented by the dissertation has been applied in reality and improves the efficiency meanwhile reducing oprating costs.
