PID controller has been a hot research in the control of industrial field. The most important work is setting the parameters. Previous, a variety of methods about parameters tuning have been proposed. Most of the methods havd reached good results. But as the control requirements of modern industrial production have been increasing. Now people assess the merits of a control system, not just care the features of target tracking or interference suppression, but require both of the features to be optimal at the same time. Therefore, two-degree-of-freedom PID came into being. For intelligent algorithm, it has been a hot research in recent decades, too. And the applications of these algorithms have been more and more widely. For the problem of parameter optimization, intelligent algorithms also played an irreplaceable role. This article also use intelligent algorithms to optimize the parameters of two-degree-of-freedom PID. This paper mainly uses the ant colony algorithm and genetic algorithm. And detailed steps and results are given. In addition, for the same control object, the optimization results of the two algorithms have been compared. It can be seen, genetic algorithm has more advantages in simulation control. In order to improve the practical value of two-degree-of-freedom PID controller, We consider to combine the two-degree-of-freedom PID controller with embedded systems. We choose S3C2410 as the main chip which product in Samsung to design an embedded control system. For hardware, we design with modular. The system consists of power, A/D, D/A, LCD display and storage modules, and there are some interface design, such as Ethernet, CAN bus interface. For software, we choose embedded operating system Windows CE which launched by Microsoft. The paper introduces the custom and the migration process of Windows CE operating system image in detail. Windows CE image is customed and transplanted according to the hardware platform of S3C2410 and the functionality of the system. The paper completed the development of the hardware platform, the migration of the operating system and the development of applications. In this paper, the parameter tuning of two-degree-of-freedom PID is implemented in embedded systems. And the simulation results with EVC are demonstrated in the form of images. We can fine-tune the parameters with dialog box to get better control effect. The combination of two-degree-of-freedom PID and embedded systems will bring a new design idea to engineers. And extend the application for two-degree-of-freedom PID controller. It will play a strong role in a number of areas.
