In manufacturing systems, computer aided process planning (CAPP) and shop production scheduling (SPS) are two very important subsystems. In traditional research, the researchers treat the two subsystems as independent systems and they lack of effective integration of these two subsystems. This brings about many problems in actual production process, such as failure in product flexible manufacturing, long period of product manufacturing, low utilization of manufacturing resources etc. To integrate and optimize process planning system and shop production scheduling system can effectively solve actual production problems such as conflict in resource using, long period of product manufacturing, low utilization of manufacturing resources etc. Therefore enterprise can improve production efficiency and lower the cost of manufacturing.This paper researched and developed a CAPP system which is based on Petri nets and a SPS system based on genetic algorithms, and researched a integrated method based on service oriented architecture (SOA) between the two systems. By establishing a unified Web services interface between CAPP system and SPS system, this paper integrated the needed modules in the form of service components. The paper firstly does a model of processing flexibility, manufacturing flexibility and manufacturing order flexibility that exist in flexible processing technology planning through Petri Net. Secondly this paper achieved dynamic production scheduling of multi-objective optimization with genetic algorithm according to the problems that exist in SPS such as complexibility, dynamic uncertainty and multi-constraint problem. Then this paper analyzed the relationship between CAPP system and SPS system, integrated the two systems with Web service and service component technology based on SOA architecture. Finally this paper detaily described the process of CAPP system and SPS system design and development based on above theory research and effectively integrated the two systems based on the integrated architecture of SOA.
