Video monitoring widely apply to the field of security,transportation and nuclear power,etc. with its character of visual display,backuping,playback,etc.With the development of electron,network and integrated chip technology, video monitoring has been developed from the original PC analog video monitor to current embedded DVR.No matter in function or in storage capacity or in other aspects,video monitoring is not what it was.Especially,with the rapid development of SOC,embedded RTOS and wireless network,the trend of it will be intelligent and networked.This article is designed a Vehicle-born DVR based embedded SOC FIE8180, Compared with the normal DVR, Vehicle-born DVR need for better shock hard drive,communication and overall system security and reliability.The FIE8180 system platform includes a wide range of basic components to reduce the overall system cost, including the H.264 codec, video capture, 656out_gen, LCD controller, DES/3DES controller, USB 2.0 OTG controller, USB 2.0 PHY, DMA controller, PCI bridge, IDE controller,Ethernet MAC controller,and AMBA bus framework.Based FIE8180 system platform, the system uses a modular design, modular design reduces the development effort to improve the reliability of the system, but also reduce development costs. The system consists of main section, audio and video capture module, an external memory module and communication module, four parts of this article is the hardware schematic for the analysis and design.Master control module is the core of the system and its responsibility is to control the system and process data and information.MPEG4/JPEG and H.264 codec chip,which were integrated in the internal FIE8180,can code the video handled by video acquisition module so that the video can be saved and transferred or delivered to LCD or TV.AV acquisition module will process four ways of AV collected by acquisition chip TW2835 and the chip also has excellent graphic overlay function,at the same time CPLD control OSD on screen display.Also,CPLD still works for storing video signal and collecting and processing environments information.The way,which CPLD and CPU are to control acquisition chip,not only improves speed and efficiency of the system,but also can reduce the design difficulties.Hard disk and SD card interface were designed in external data storage module.Hard disk has become the main storage device of DVR with its large storage capacity and cost-effective character.And in embedded systems,SATA hard disk has an obvious advantage of its quick storage speed and less error rate.As FIE8180 only provides IDE interface,so the interface need to be converted by SATA transition chip on JM20330.SD is often used in embedded systems with its small size and strong seismic performance.Also SD supports hot swaps and this is meaningful for on-board DVR to use SD card to store temporary data and backup.In communications part,system designs the JTAG interface and it can be used for CPU emulators online programming,simulation and debugging.In serial port parts,the alarm input and audio acquisition function are realized,and it is converted to RS485 to control the haeundae through RS232-RS485 and it can adjust the camera orientation and zoom,focus,etc. This section also designed the Ethernet controller,and through the controller we can combine the Intranet with the Internet,and through the WEB can communicate with the remote server.In addition,USB,which can store and transit data and connect to the keyboard,wireless,etc.In the interface,USB 2.0 OTG technology is used,which makes USB out of master-slave architecture limit and end-to-end transmission mode has been realized.In other words,it can make USB realize the data transmission between devices without the host machine.And OTG also provides power management and reduce the power consumption.In this part on-board two-way talkback system is also designed and this system has realized the voice communication with the control end,information interaction between scene and the control terminal.In the software, the paper design of a multi-threaded control system and memory read and write; also designed motion detection software flow chart based on the TW2835.
