With the rapid development of society, communication equipments are used widely in military and civilian areas. Communication equipments are becoming more and more complicated and requirements to communication is greatly increased, at the same time, the productivity of equipments are increasing, so the guarantee of a variety of hardware quality of communications equipments has faced higher demands in the production process. Ensuring factory's qualified of various equipments is manufacturer's urgent aim.In this paper, the detection system of modern communication equipment is designed for a certain type of VxWorks real-time operating system equipment of a communication company. Basing on deep analysis the features of Vx Works operating system and the hardware modules of the detection equipment, combined with the advantages of object-oriented thought and specific detection of equipment requirements of hardware modules, this paper designs the detection system of modern communication equipment which bases on object-oriented and program to implement it by C programming language.In order to provide uniform interface for the detection system, some changes are made for BSP of real-time operating system Vx Works. In this paper, in order to meet the need of modern communication equipment detection with rapid updates, design for the system model is made, which base on the object-oriented ideas. The method of adding and modifying module of detection system can meet the requirements increasing or changing of different modules. The various modules of the detection equipment are divided into different detection tasks for different targets, multi-task scheduling algorithm of Vx Works operating system are used to schedule each detected task depending on different targets. According to various objects, different detection methods are used to achieve different detection tasks. The design of this system is helpful to improve the detection efficiency and the passing rate of detection, and it is important to accelerate the production of modern communications equipment and maintenance process. Object-oriented design methods has played an important role in shortening the software development cycle of the detection system, reducing the software development costs and improving system reliability, maintainability, portability and so on for the complex modern communication equipments. Finally, the system is tested and the results show that it can detect the equipment hardware failure and has a perfect function and good reliability.
