This thesis mainly presents the research and implementation of management system for petrochemical dangerous chemical based on PDA.PDA, personal digital assistant, the characteristics of which are agile shape, convenient take and operation, can match the different software to synchronize with computer. The industrial applications of PDA are mainly about dealing with kinds of information on work, collecting data, dealing with information and classifying information based on industrial characteristics; it can help people to complete the job effectively. More and more industrial organizations consider to improving the flow of work by PDA, and it is effect on depressing the cost, advancing the efficiency and quality of service response. The technology applied to the safety management of petrochemical is help enterprise to reduce the response time when the accident happens. Workers can query the information they need at any time, and it can help safety managers to improve the management level of safety.The information system of petrochemical dangerous chemical based on PDA consists of two parts:the information system of petrochemical dangerous chemical based on browse/server mode and PDA client. People can query the chemical dictionary on PDA client, input the equipment data at the local, transact with the information system of petrochemical dangerous chemical which is deployed on the server.Safety manager can input the keywords on the PDA to query the Characteristics and first aid knowledge of the dangerous chemical; it can offer the direction to handle accidents.There are lots of equipment data which need to be registered when workers daily check. By the conventional work mode, workers must bring lots of sample chart in order to write down the original data, and then input them into computer.Repeated work cost a great deal of manpower and material resources, the work efficiency is low. Because of the characteristics of agility and expansibility, PDA can be used to register the sample data at the local as client, and transact with the information system. To realize the communication by USB port, they can download the basic data and upload the inspective result.The information system of petrochemical dangerous chemical based on browse/server mode is deployed on the server in digital center; users can login on through the Intranet. This system is the basic of PDA client system above, it can support the service of chemical register and database query. Users can coordinate the sample data by certain condition and present the report or chart, and then query the equipment data by the print and browse mode.PDA subsystem is taken as the instance to have introduced the advantages and methods of Web Services in transferring and downloading data to database SQL Server 2005 at server in intelligent devices, and ASP.NET AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) technology is introduced its key techniques and advantages in realizing data display of Web pages and editing modification with the LAN subsystem as an example. Using AJAX can decrease the burden of Server and resolve white screen problem incurred from webpage refreshing as well, and by utilizing Web Services technique it will be more safe and efficient to transfer data to Servers on PDA.
