Audio digital watermarking technology is a kind of information hiding technology, Information hiding is a technology which embeds the important data into the digital audio to hide the existence information for copyright identification or undercover communication. Echo hiding is an important branch of the information hiding based on audio signals. The main work and innovation points of this paper are as follow:At first, this paper introduces the concept, the basic structure, characteristics, classification, application, evaluation criteria and the development status of digital audio watermarking technology. Then, the paper introduces the concept, principle and characteristic of echo hiding, and analyzes its current situation, developmental trend and the key research points in future.Secondly,Kim` s backward and forward kernels is detailed studied and introduced in this paper. After analyzing and Mathematical deduction,this paper proposes a new system of echo hiding which can make us see the pour peak in the cepstrum , then test it, and at last , combines with the more echo to expand the information capacity embedded.Thirdly, on the basis of Kim's backward and forward kernels, this paper propose an echo hiding algorithm which improve the echo kernel by the PN sequence combining the Bilateral time-domain extension ideas. The algorithm is different from the traditional time-domain embedding and the cepstrum domain extraction, whose watermark embedding and extraction are completed both in the time domain. Besides, the algorithm can maintain a high detection rate in the case of very small echo amplitude and improve the watermark security and invisibility.Finally, this paper makes a summarization and points out some prospects of the next step of the research work.
