With the continuing development of technology and the extensive application of the new business, especially in the geographical environment of large cities, the accuracy of the radio direction finding needs to be further improved. In this paper,the features and the application of direction finding systems are analyzed for correct selection.Environment error, local error and communication error which exist in the radio direction finding are analyzed in more details and methods of how to avoid these errors are summarized. An improved method of interferometer is introduced to resolve the problem of Phase Ambiguity.With Remainder Theorem and the match of long-short baselines,the problem of Phase Ambiguity is resolved. .Traditional interferometer and improved interferometer are respectively simulated by Matlab. Compare the performances according to the simulation results.It is known that the precision of improved interferometer is greatly improved. For MUSIC algorithm in a multipath environment will fail because of the high correlation of signals, the classic MUSIC algorithm based on spatial spectrum estimation is simulated and performances are analyzed, algorithm of the wave of direction (DOA )is improved. The agorithm of MUSIC combined with technology of Spatial smoothing is used for relevant source DOA estimation.And the improved algorithm is simulated and performances are analyzed.This reduces the errors caused by finding algorithm. Finally,by doing direction finding accuracy test in outside field with direction finding equipments of R / S Company in Germany,process the test data, draw the error curve and make further analysis with the Fourier series method.Correct device parameters according to the data of error analysis.Do another outside field test then get a good effect.
