Abstract/Summary:
After the ten years' development, the traditional application of wireless local area network (WLAN) has been gradually accepted, and the pattern of cable combined with wireless has been widely applied, which made WLAN become a necessary supplement of cable Ian. As a product of computer network and wireless communication base, WLAN is a local area network established by the wireless communication technology. It uses wireless multi-addresses channels as transmission medium, providing the functions of traditional cable Ian, so that the users can access to network at anytime. The wireless network used in 2008 Olympics is a network sending and receiving data through wireless Ian. Despite the advantage of convenience of access, the limitations of WLAN lie in the sharing of the broadband. It is because of the difficulty in WLAN application, the stable service provided to national media during Beijing Olympics displayed much more precious value. During the Olympics, China mobile WLAN network became the important way for the journalists in MPC, IBC, OLV, OHC to publish the information. According to the statistics, more than 3000 journalists used WLAN, and gave a high appraisal on the connection speed. In order to ensure the maturity and stability, The Olympic WLAN was chosen from the most powerful manufacture and the best products. Meanwhile, the long-term application and rapid deployment was also considered in sub-construct scheme.At the beginning of this dissertation, the author introduced both the conception and characteristic of WLAN, IEEE802.11b,IEEE802.11a,IEEE802.11g, and also the net framework used by China Mobile in large activities. On the basis of China Mobile's network, Wireless Info was realized because of the convenience on installation, management, maintenance and high mobility. In the following parts, the implementation effect of Olympic WLAN and the method of stress test were further represent in detail.
