The increasingly fierce competition of the IT markets request rapid upgrade of electronic products and shorter design and produce cycle time, and the prompt response on customer's requirement is more important. Time means market, so whether can provide the quotation quickly and accurately at the first time always determine can get the order or not. Personal computer is one of the most popular IT products and stamping part is one of the critical components for thermal module in PC, while provide the price for stamping parts is a creative work which request for rich knowledge and experience and need to collect related information from all the related departments which all are challenges for prompt quotation. But on the other hand, buyers found similar stamping parts always with similar cost during daily manual providing the price to customers, so if can summarize and utilize all the previous cost information in further cost evaluation will help to shorten the cycle time especially when you find a totally same part in previous database and the only difference is customer or part number. And that's the reason why we are discussing the method of case-based reasoning on cost evaluation which with direct and realistic significance.At the beginning of this article states the basic principle, key technology of CBR(Case-Based Reasoning), and then based on the characteristics of stamping parts cost raise the cost evaluation system of stamping based on case-based reasoning.In order to enhance the accuracy of the case presentation and to adjust the cost of the parts which not completely same with exist parts easily. Here we investigate the stamping part process, define the major elements of stamping part cost and study the calculation methods. At the meanwhile, abstract the major and minor features from the stamping cost elements and design typical model and its relational database storage structure.The key point of CBR system is retrieval technology. In this article we choose the"Nearest Neighbor"retrieval method. And to construct the index features based on the major features of stamping parts cost. Select Kolodner's distance as the similarity measurement method. Introduce AHP method together with the group decision applied in the AHP method to solve the feature weight problem of NN retrieval algorithm.The cost evaluation system of thermal module stamping part based on CBR is developed by Visual Basic programming language and ACCESS as the database supporting. The achievement researched in this thesis provides a reference for relevant quick cost evaluation, and can be extended to other metalwork.
