Radar recording and storing device can recording radar data,it can recorde and reappear radar echo data.Especially,the device can supply data for analysing,researching and regaining the particular situation.Because of mass radar echo data,it make many questions and troubles for storing and reality projects, must compress the data in order to resolve the question. Radar distributes in alpine zone and islands, and unattended station developing, the data be transmitted to forane terminal processing device. Pre_existing network device cannot meet demands, so radar video data must be compressed.Design completed record compression system.The system mainly includes two parts: hardware platform and software algorithm.Completing schematic diagram and PCB wiring by Altuim design, using VHDL language accomplish program design based on Quartusâ…ˇ. Achieve specific format cache processing for radar trigger, radar azimuth, and radar video record, parameters of the data and PCI communication.And compress digital radar video,test the function and the feasibility of the design, meet the practical needs.Complete radar data simulation processing in software algorithm. Research wavelet theory and compression algorithm based on wavelet, main research the bit_plane coding and adaptive arithmetic coding. Complete the algorithm simulation processing, analysis and compare compression algorithm performance.The algorithm is feasibility by experiment.The design of compression system hardware platform is through actual testing, software algorithm simulation result is feasible.
