The automatic tracking of the welding is becoming one of the important issues in automation and intelligent of welding. And tracking control is one of the core technology of sensor. Therefore, the study of high sensitivity, good dynamic quality, wide sensing range, interference immunity, simple structure and meet the performance requirements of welding process control system of sensors is the key point in track system . Eddy current displacement sensors can non-contact, high linearity, high resolution measure the distance from the surface of metallic conductors static and dynamic, but also has high frequency, fast response, with strong anti-jamming capability, the probe structure is simple, easy installation adjustment and calibration. Against automatic fillet arc welding robot for the tracking problem, this article, with eddy current sensors to extract information on the seam deviation, automatic tracking successful fillet welding.First automatic seam tracking welding automation and technology are briefly introduced at home and abroad, while the development and application of eddy current sensors are surveyed in detail, and then according to the principles and characteristics of eddy current sensors, and analyzes its possible for seam tracking sex, first proposed eddy current seam tracking sensor.Then elaborated the theory of eddy current sensors based on the basic principles and mathematical model,eddy current sensor in the welding of the influencing factors were analyzed, study the arc characteristics of electromagnetic interference of the vortex sensing parameters of the law, optimize sensor tracking system parameters, based on this design suitable for real-time seam tracking system to track the eddy current sensor. Using hardware filter plus software filter process the signal, plus selected threshold percentage of the control area of the seam tracking method to improve the response speed and reduce the adjustment time. Ensure that the weld torch always to achieve tracking welding.Finally, on the basis of the above, the system commissioning is completed and the automatic tracking of weld seam tracking simulation and analysis is realized.
