Information is an important strategic resource for the future development of modern port industry. Logistics centers in the age of information are highly depended on an information technology system which is flexible, virtualized, and interactive and is beneficial to the competition for the future market and the transformation in management from scientific one into artistic one. Therefore, a cooperating intelligent information management system is needed to integrate numerous information units and maximize the productivity of port enterprises. And a significant task in the intelligent information management system is to improve the production and management of information system.Owing to great project needs and specific system design work, major functional modules for all the subsystems of production operation and management are constructed, based on Intranet/Internet data network design,Orcale9i database, an API (Application Program Interface) using NET framework, a system database under the operation mode which combines C/S and B/S. Data warehouse, workflow technique and DSS (Decision Support System). After preliminary project test and some modification, We created a production and operation management subsystem. System includes the following main function modules: basic information management, system parameters management, contract management, ship operation management, ship operations planning and operations implementation, the terminal yard management, equipment management, billing management and data integrated comprehensive analysis. Using this system, LuoYuan Bay Port information and equipment related information, products, business sales, ship scheduling and operations decision-making analysis of the implementation and production data to implement effective information management. The use of this System to analyze and handle all of the company's business, such as the company's management in a variety of decision problems and the analysis of indicators, calculation and comparative analysis and selection of program implementation and so on. It has helped to improve the overall Information Construction Level of the LuoYuan Bay Port.Through preliminary project test and some modification, the newly-designed system has been put into practical application, the results are correct, it has helped to operate the analysis of indicators, calculation and comparative analysis of the program and choose to judge, to achieve a common port of integrated information resources sharing, as the company's management and development of ancillary support decision-making.
