Orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) is a multiple access technique based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technique, it has been recognized as the core of the physical layer technique in the third generation mobile communication system long term evolution(LTE) and the Fourth generation (4G) mobile communication system. The future mobile communication systems has higher requirements of the transmitted business rate and type, while there has limited wireless resources, thus we need to adopt efficient resource allocation strategies to ensure the transmitted quality of the users. The current status of the research of native and abroad on resource allocation algorithm for OFDMA system was described, and the principles and the key techniques of OFDM/OFDMA was introduced. OFDMA resource allocation model of the system was established in theory, and the theory and performance of different resource allocation algorithms based on different business types was analyzed. The paper mainly summarized and analyzed resource allocation algorithms for OFDMA systems, and the researched on it from the single-cell and multi-cell system respectively. The simulation of the classic resource allocation algorithm for single-cell OFDMA system was realized by MATLAB software platform firstly, and verified the influence of different algorithms on system performance. On the basis, the resource allocation algorithm of multi-cell OFDMA system was studied in depth. A new algorithm based on static interference coordination strategy of multi-cell OFDMA system was proposed existed for the system inter-cell interference issues. Users in multi-cell system were divided into two types: cell-center users and cell-edge users. The paper according to the SINR value of the cell-edge users to determine the priority of resources allocation, and combined the types of users and different scheduling strategies. Simulation results showed that the proposed algorithm can effectively reduce inter-cell interference and increase the rate of cell edge users, improve the fairness of the overall system.
