With the advancement of technology and the promotion of management concepts, domestic and foreign cities are actively developing intelligent transport system to cope with the increasingly serious traffic situation. Meanwhile, in order to meet the requirements of information'society, our proposed integrated transportation system intelligent transportation development in China as an important strategic goal and that is intelligent and integrated transportation system of the future trend.However,intelligent transportation system and integrated needs a variety of transportation, multi-business unit, multi-application integration and integration of organic links, therefore, Integrated Information System an effective way to realize the cross-sector, cross-system development.Establishment of the traffic integrated information system can link the flow, and use the intelligent of information processing and analysis tools to be integrated and available through various channels to each object, to achieve the effective integration of various systems and integration, value-added traffic information services, extension services transportation system.GIS-T as the support system of the spatial data and the traffic data storage and application, has the ability of professional analysis and the integrated treatment of geospatial data and attribute data.WebGIS which is the main direction of GIS development uses Internet environment to provide the spatial analysis and spatial data access capabilities. Combine mainstream architecture of current traffic information system with taking into account a wide range of ArcGIS Server to provide Web-based GIS services. The GIS-T can achieve in a distributed environment of geographic data management, spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and other GIS functions. In that case, the traffic information system which based on the ArcGIS has a widely use in reality.This paper uses intelligent transportation systems as the framework, through analyzing the problems of construction of urban traffic information, combining the urban traffic characteristics with the related needs of the analysis, and proposing the solution of the ArcGIS Server for the technical support of the urban traffic integrated information system:The system uses ChengDu as a prototype system and the ArcSDE+SQL Server2005 as data management platform, Use ERSI's ArcGIS Server platform for spatial information publishing platform to build urban traffic integrated information system, and unified traffic management and utilization of resources, to achieve urban transport servicesrelated data statistical analysis and real-time traffic flow information in order to achieve traffic flow based on visual display, short-term traffic flow prediction and evaluation of traffic congestion and other functions, decision-making for the traffic management department provide the basis for analysis and rapid response, providing the public timely and comprehensive traffic information service.
