Due to its advantage in the system capacity improvement and spectral efficiency enhancement without extra bandwidth requirement in wireless communication, MIMO techniques play a fundamental role in in B3G and 4G mobile communication system. In this thesis, we focus on the semi-definite-relaxation (SDR) based MIMO detection algorithm and the SDR based MIMO detection algorithm over multiuser interference environment.Perfect space-time block code (PSTBC) were introduced as the class of linear dispersion space-time coes having full rate, nonvanishing determinant, a signal constellation isomorphic to either the rectangular or hexagonal lattices, and uniform average transmitted energy per antenna. After a brief introduction of the PSTBC encoding principle, the thesis tries to apply the SDR-based detection algorithm to the PSTBC codes. Our analysis reveals that, the SDR-based detection algorithm is able to achieve a reasonable detection performance for any modulation alphabet size while signicifantly reducing the calculation complexity for the PSTBC codes. In addition, the Bound Constrained SDR (BC-SDR) based PSTBC detection is more perferrable since it may achieve almost the same detection performance as that by using the MMSE-DFE-Viterbi detection algorithm with the lowest calculation cost.Because of the inherent wireless resource scarity, it is highly desirable to share the common wireless spectrum resources among multiple users, wherein the multiple user detection algorithm becomes an important technique to overcome the co-channel interference (CCI). By following the interference cancelation model of multi-user quasi-orthogonal space time block code (MQSTBC), this thesis derives the interference cancelation model for two-users PSTBC based on the SDR-based detection algorithm. And the analysis results convince us that, the interference cancelation model and the SDR based interference detection method are effective to deal with the multiuser PSTBC coded system detection problem.
