Virtual experiment is a computer system using virtual reality, multimedia and simulation technology, in which the scheduled experiments can be completed as well as in the real environment or even better. Compared with traditional real experiment, virtual experiment has many advantages, such as, easier to use, lower cost, less interference, easier to implement repeated experiments under the same conditions and free from the constraints of time and space. So, virtual experiment is becoming a hot research.This thesis introduces the current research of virtual experiment, and a generic modeling for virtual experiment and a new visualization technology are proposed in this paper. Then, we design and deploy virtual experiment simulation software plug-in based on ActiveX through this model and visualization technology.The main contents and contributions of this thesis are:First, to improve the extendibility and reusability of current virtual experiments, we introduce a new modeling method of the experiment device, scene and communication based on XML and SVG, with the method of making the physical information, visualization demonstration and simulation computation independent. And this model has the advantages of uniformity and standardization.Then, a method of multi-technology integration visualization is given in this paper. Using QT in the production of a graphical interface programming and QWT which is good at rendering of two-dimensional graphical components, we given a rendering engine based on SVG and QWT, then on basis of that, implement the experiment component and scene visualization, and perform the simulation in the way of data-driven, which can get a better level in aspects of fidelity, real time and controllability.Finally, the software for virtual experiment simulation based on ActiveX is proposed and deployed, and then, a case of circuit simulation experiment is given.
