At the initial stage of WCDMA RNS network construction, the requirements of network capacity are not very huge, but, the coverage extent will impact the user's QOE (Quality Of Experience) directly, which will become the most important factor of the network's quality and bearing on the operators of the brand image.Currently, the SDR BBU+ RRU architecture solution is widely adopted, a Cell Combination technology in STSR site type, multi-RRU single Cell is an effective method to optimize the network performance.By the mapping of many cases, the Ec/Io and HSDPA throughput and other key indicators can be founded, multi-RRU single cell solution increase the Ec/Io evidently, meantime, the Cell Combination technology can effectively improve the PS traffic rate, this article also analyzed the advantage and disadvantage and special scenario.This approach is provided to solve the problem such as complex cell overlap,too-small handover cell,it is an optimized means which has been widely flexibly adopted in China Unicom.
