Software Localization Testing Process Improvement And Defect Management Study

As part of the software internationalization development, software localization is of vital importance for the success of software internationalization and localization. During the software localization testing process, most software companies are trying to improve the testing process and defect management system.Based on the current research and articles regarding to the software localization project development, testing process and defect management process, this thesis has studied the existing refined models and standards of the software development process and the defect management process. By analyzing the actual software localization project, it establishes a refined model of the software localization testing process and improves the defect management skills of localization testing. By studying the fundamental theories of software localization testing, major process improvement model, and software development and testing model, the thesis has discussed about the software localization testing refinement based on the CMMI model. According to the specific characteristic of the software localization testing, the Verification and Validation key process area from CMMI model could be used to refine the localization testing and defect management. In addition, the efficiency and quality of the software localization testing project could be improved by implementing the software localization process and defect management refinement model. The analysis and new model help improve the software localization testing process and manage the software localization defects.
