Design And Implementation Of Network Teaching Platform

With the rapid development of computer technology, modern communication technology and network technology, network teaching pattern has been widely adopted in the national universities and vocational colleges. The management thoughts, modes and technology of network platform have been gradually infiltrated into the information education. It is becoming a focus of information technology application in colleges to further enhance the reasonable organization of network resources and to construct a platform for teachers'effective teaching and students'effective learning.The construction of network teaching platform should be operated from two aspects, the design of database and the sharing of resources. According to the requirements of vocational colleges on students'application ability and working process oriented teaching, teaching modes, effective organization of teaching resources, and the links between teachers'teaching and students'learning have been explored so as to form the function design of network teaching platform for the backbone courses. Our college has set the standards for teaching resources and has formed the sharable resources by uniform standards. The real-name implementation of teachers and students has been performed for the platform, which teachers may use for classroom teaching, students may apply for independent learning or testing, and both teachers and students may use for communication. In short, the exploit of network teaching platform helps to cover in a unit the teaching resource management, teachers'teaching and students'self-learning activities.This paper dwells on the feasibility and the requirement analysis, the design for the whole system, the database and the details of network teaching platform. Finally, some limitations of the system and suggestions for further improvement are put forward.
