Morph Animation is outstanding in the field of computer graphics in recent years, which has great development potential and application prospect in cartoon, movie stunt, landscape architecture, and so on. It is studied that the Morph Animation based on the fractal theory in the paper, and the key is the static fractal graph which is converted into dynamic through fractal morphing technology. The specific work is as follows:First of all, the fractal plant is described with Iterative Function System (IFS). According to adjust parameters of IFS attractor, a kind of fractal plant can be deformed to another and sway in the wind. The results of the study demonstrate that the process of graphic deformation can be controlled stably; meanwhile, some drawbacks such like distortion and interruption are resolved effectively. This way enriches the Morph Animation and fractal theory in large.Sencondly, compared with the traditional 2D IFS turecolor fractal graph, the new approach of rendering the fractal animation is proposed-Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML), which can describe appearance and color more efficient and feasible in 3D space. In the last chapter, the 3D fractal plant is simulated by the interactive L-system based on VRML in the virtual and reality environment, which makes the classic L-system better. Researchs demonstrate the fractal plant that is generated by improved apporoach is more similar with the one in the real world, which realize the favorable interaction modeling in virtual reality.
