Due to various factors,collected fingerprint images are often gray image with a variety of noise, images may appear ridge adhesion ridge situations such as broken or uneven contrast.In this case,it is very difficult to isolate the correct image of fingerprint ridge, resulting in the reliability of fingerprint feature extraction difficult.This is noise pollution fingerprint ridge structure would seriously affect the performance of automatic fingerprint identification system. In order to ensure the reliability of subsequent processing, feature extraction,the obtained fingerprint images must be preprocessed.The purpose of preprocessing is to remove the image noise, turn it into a clear point line graph to facilitate the correct fingerprint feature extraction to enhance the image of identification.Part of the entire fingerprint image pre-processing in fingerprint image enhancement, binarization and thinning are the pretreatment process of the core.This paper focuses on how the content is the method using mathematical morphology and its binding characteristics of the fingerprint image preprocessing and simulation to achieve efficient filtering of the enhanced fingerprint image,fingerprint image segmentation and processing fingerprint image thinning.Algorithm include:(1) fingerprint image enhancement,the proposed operation will be based on morphological image arithmetic/logic operations to combine methods,using multiple structural elements that operate on the image,respectively,and then combine the images after the operation,to achieve more good fil tering effect, and to ensure the continuity of the ridge.(2) In this paper,neighborhood-based operation and use of morphological contrast image local variance of the variance on the Combination of fingerprint image segmentation algorithm, to achieve the purpose of fingerprint image segmentation.(3) for general morphological skeleton algorithm can not guarantee the continuity of the fingerprint ridge defects, this paper look up table based on the morphological skeleton of a conditional constraint refinement algorithm.Experiments show that the improved algorithm has better refining effect,in ensuring the continuity of the fingerprint ridge issues has heen greatly improved.
