A Research On Exploiting And Utilizing English Internet Educational Resource For Children Under Network Environment

As an international language, English is important in children's education. When children are exposed to English resource and English environment, their sense of English and interest in English can be fully developed. In print culture, English educational resources which agree with children's information acceptance characteristics and interests are of shortage. Under network environment, a large quantity of English educational resources, integrating multimedia technology, which is interactive and children-friendly, turn up. Based on English Educational Resource for children that exist in network, this paper first combs its types, characteristics and distribution systematically through the method of document investigation, internet investigation, comprehensive analysis and so on. Then this article puts forward some measures about how to exploit and utilize internet resource under network.The dissertation includes seven parts. Chapter one explains research background, research situation, research contents, research methods, and research significance as well. Chapter two dissertates some relative issues. The thesis first gives some explanations about Network Environment, Children and English Educational Internet Resource. Then the paper focuses on how English educational internet resource influence children's English learning. Chapter three discusses the classification of English educational internet resource, which is elaborated from the point of resource's characteristics and children's age. Chapter four first analyzes the distribution of children English educational resource in network, mainly expounded from profit and non-profit profile, then evaluates its value of exploitation and utilization about children educational internet resource at present. Chapter five analyses the present utilization of network resource, mainly covering the pattern of search engine, digital library, commercial websites, children library websites and some institutes. Chapter six firstly reviews the theoretical including user acceptance, information architecture and constructivism, then come up with the development thoughts about how to exploit and utilize network English educational resource. At the same time, this thesis makes some suggestions about how to exploit and utilize this resource under network environment. This paper comes up with three methods to exploit network English educational resource including characteristic special database and digital library and mobile library. Meanwhile, this paper also propounds three means to make the best of this resource, some measures such as mobile terminal, situation implanting and information literacy included. Chapter seven makes a review of this paper and points out the deficiency of this paper.
