The Study On Management Of Undergraduate Scientific Research In Research-oriented Universities

Introduction the scientific research into undergraduate student teaching process, organizing college students to participate in more scientific research activities, which makes them get access to practical training and scientific research training, is an important manifestation of reform and development of college innovative talents training model.This paper first define relative concepts, significance, features of Research Universities and undergraduate scientific research, then analysis and summed up three basic forms of Chinese universities undergraduate scientific research currently: participating in teacher's research program, extra-curricular science and technology activities, college students self-application research projects, combining with analysis of our university students research activities' status quo and involving in research on the questionnaires and interviews on undergraduate research activities to explore the management factors which restrict the development of our Research University undergraduate research activities. In order to gain inspiration and reference from the successful experience, this paper study on the performance of American research university undergraduate scientific research activities, and by the analysis of the organizational structure, management system and encouragement measure of this case, we further prove that only by reforming the management system of undergraduate scientific research and consummating relative measures can fully develop the effectiveness of undergraduate scientific research activities.As there are still some problems with our undergraduate research activities such as deficiency of scientific research work, lack of specialized management agencies, uncertainty of undergraduate research on the feature and status, lack of outlay for scientific research and so on. And therefore in the development of Chinese Research University undergraduate research program management, not only learn management ideas and experiences from American research university undergraduate research activities, but also combine with the specific practice of our research universities. According to this goal, this paper proposes the management reform idea of aiming in cultivating innovative talents for Chinese Research University undergraduate research program: reforming the undergraduate research management system as the main line, perform the reform by consummating evaluation mechanism, improving the incentive mechanism, coordinating teaching and research Management mechanism.
