Word teaching is the most basic and fundamental content of courses in language teaching, which often plays an important role in reading instruction. The result of word teaching performs a vital role in understanding and utilizing our language correctly. For a long time, word teaching has been lacking in attention in primary language reading instruction. So it is the weak link and loses contact with context. In order to change the situation of low efficiency with high consumption and help students develop their inquiring and creative utilizing words skills, it's our duty to seek newer, more effective methods of word teaching. For that reason, this study suggests that we should establish word teaching in context type strategy in primary school Chinese teaching. Currently, the Chinese teachers'research on word teaching in context type is still in the early exploratory stage. In spite of some teaching practice, they have not yet developed their study into a total theory. This document based on reading and analysis of theories of context type in combination with primary school word teaching practice, proposes the"word teaching in context type"concept, and gives a clear explanation of this concept. After discussing the positive effects of word teaching in context type has on"word internal exchange"and"enriching active words", the author focuses on how this teaching strategy can be put into practice in the daily teaching procedures. First, teachers should teach the new words from the context: let the students read the words in the context, understand the meanings by dialogue, differentiate words by comparing and connection, make a thorough understanding by returning to the original condition; Secondly, teachers should create more circumstances in class to teach words: at the same time ,tell the students to read words with feelings to realize the meanings, store up words in daily life, combine reading with writing to use words flexibly; Finally, teachers are advised to teach words by combining social culture: improve the word teaching by studying the culture of Chinese characters, explore the connotation of phrases combining with the writing background, analyze the new words and phrases by being close to the pop culture. The added text is about the problems that exist in word teaching in context type and the follow-up study.
