Research On Economic Issue Of Higher Education

By analyzing the dissertations of economic problems on higher education, which were published in the Education and Economy Journal, this research describes the current situation of our nation's researches on the economic problems of higher education in recent 10 years. And this research also predicts the researching direction of the economic problems of higher education in future.The main content of this research contains the following aspects:Firstly, this research makes an introduction to the researching subjects of Education and Economy Journal and its validity samples.Secondly, this research makes an analysis of research situation on the economic problems of Chinese higher education in recent 10 years, which includes the main research area and the development of them. The author focuses on the discussion of research area on the economic problems of higher education and divides it into five aspects:the basic theory, the investment on higher education, the economic benefit of higher education, the management of higher education and the employment of graduated students with a detailed study on its development path.Thirdly, the main characteristics of research on economic problems of higher education. After the elaborate statistical research on those dissertations, the author generalizes the main characteristics of the researches on the economic problems of higher education in recent decade:Showing the obvious stage characteristics; fastening closely to the currency, focusing on the hotspots and giving clear direction for the development of higher educational economy; drawing on others'advantages and focusing on ourselves'experiences so as to assert Chinese characteristics increasingly; broadening the research perspective and renewing the research topics step by step; strengthening the research standards and developing theory construction into new stage. Forth, on the basis of the relevant dissertations in the Journal, the author predicts the future path for the researches on the economic problems of Chinese higher education. The openness of researches strengthened increasingly. Owing to this openness, the international academic exchange become closer and closer; The increasing practicality of research contributes to interpret and to solve the practical problems in the development of higher educational economy reform; The researches for theory carries more and more weight so that the results will give life and soul to the research on the economic problems of higher education; The research on colleges, moving towards the scientificalization will play a positive role in colleges'and universities'reform and development; The increasing specialization of researches will upraise the entrance level.In this thesis, the author mainly adopts qualitative and quantitative method, the documentations method, statistical method, historical research method and etc.By means of analyzing the relevant dissertation published in Education and Economy Journal in the past decade, we gain a better comprehension of its publishing characteristics and its position in academic research. Meanwhile, the economists of higher education can better understand the development trend of the research on the economic problems of higher education in recent ten years, and also are able to control its future direction, which will provide a theoretical base for the following researches.
