Since August 2004, the issuing of CCPCC and State Council's "About furthering and improving the ideology education", the professionalization and specialization of college counsellors is becoming a hot topic of team foundation. Lots of measures have been taking by central government and local government to strengthen the foundation of counsellors and some of the achievements have reached. But because of the specialty of counsellors' identity and the complexity of the practical works, the counsellors are still facing problems like weakness in their vocational development, limitation in their vocational development, uncertainty of vocational direction with the view on the conditions of counsellors'vocation development. That shows how important of enhancing the study on counsellors career planning.My research is based on the theory of career planning and career management, targeting the H college of Anhui with documentary theory, investigating theory, interviewing theory and exemplifying theory. I am attempting to describe and analyses the questions and reasons existing during the counsellors'career planning and development.The research results show that:H college had achieved some goals while also some of the shorts as:the developing direction is not very clear, the professional location is vague, paying to much attention to the short-term object, ignoring the long-term object, lack of planning texture, low quality of planning, lack of individuality, not in place with the external environment, not enough with the implementation of planning. I believe there are many causes of restricting the counsellors'career planning, such as:their self-determination in the career is not strong enough, they need more techniques in their planning, their intention of development is not very strong, their stress of works is rather huge, the management of college for the counsellors'career is not very helpful, the access of career developing is not designed well, very little instruction has been given during the process of planning, very little supervision has been given to the execution of career planning, the supporting measures are not enough, the assessment and feedback system is not functioning well, the training mechanism is not complete.According to the above reasons, this research is dealing with two different levels—counsellors themselves and college organizations, providing some policies and suggestions to improve the counsellors'career planning. It's basically focusing on strengthening the occupational self-awareness, increase the skills of planning, transform the passive situation into initiatives to win the chances of development, know more about the knowledge of career planning to establish the theoretic basement, know how to decompress to clear out the obstacle of planning, edit a handbook for career planning to intensify the awareness of the impotence of career planning, provide consultation of career planning for counsellors to help them improve their career, set the access for their vocation rationally, widen the space for their career development, fulfill the system of evaluation and feedbacks to enhance the points of adjustment, pay more attention to the education and training to build up the motivation of career planning.
