Physical ability is a word which appeared in a high frequency on various PE newspapers and magazines in recent decades. It is about 130 thousands items related the meaning with it when searched the word on the internet. What is called Physical ability, not only indicates the sport appearance of this physical items, but also includes technical ability; fight ability and all abilities belong to human body. Physical ability training is the training which ameliorates pilot students'body shape during the process of training; improve the body function; develop the body quality. The physical training on pilot student has its technicality, which includes many items such as: Athletics, gymnastics, ball, swimming, boxing, skating, physique training. Especially for some specific training programs, such as: Long-distance running, the winding stairs, fixed roller, instrument gymnastics etc have been used for many years, and they play a crucial role for training the aircrew's ability and improving their the psychological quality. But with the development of science and technology, new type of fighter plane is constantly upgraded and the function improved constantly. The whole new things of the change request to pilots, who will strengthen their physical ability. The airplane performance has upgraded, which need"person"who operate plane can improve their ability to fit for the development of the aircraft. Whether the traditional physical traning mode, methods, evaluation mechanism that still practised today can conform to the human development; whether the training means are scientific and reasonable to the flight standards; how to use the existing training conditions to improve the pertinence and effectiveness of training; above all are significant research for us.Through the methods of checking the document literature materials, talking with the relevant exports, and experiment and antitheses, we will have 12 weeks contrast training which look the 100 male pilot students who are in 51st period of Air Force Aviation University as their experimantal subject. They will be divided into experimental group and comparative group according to their sub-unit. We take different intensities training in different groups and make the sample survey in them. The experimental group is adopted strong intensity training methods, and the comparative group is taken traditional training methods. Our study will record and contrast the results of follow items:Fixed roller, the winding stairs, pull-ups, arm flexion and 100m running,3000m running,5000m running. After the experiment ,two groups are all improved their training results, but the results of the experimental group are higher than comparative group. From the study of the result, we found that traditional training methods aren't satisfied with the develoment of pilot student's physical ability.
