A Comparative Study On The Mathematic Motivation About Liberal And Science Students

Mathematics is one of the basic subjects and the key to the college entrance examination, and is very useful in the future study. But many students feel afraid of it very much especially in liberal students. Many students choose liberal just because they are not good at math. Mathematic is the biggest obstacle for liberal students to pass the college entrance examination.Motivation is the key factor for the study. The author just wants to find the different factors on mathematic motivation about science and liberal students. Then try to find the way to improve the students'mathematic achievement.From the result we know there are some different factors which effect students'motivation. For liberal students the most important factor that affects their mathematic motivation are interesting and self-efficacy. But for the science students the teacher's expectations and teaching methods are more important. So we can use different ways to improve the two kinds of students'mathematic motivation.
