The Exploration Of The Education Of Post-90s' Outlook On Careers

The number of Chinese university graduates, which amounts to six or even seven million each year, has been still on the increase since the expansion of university enrollment. Higher education in China has come into a new era of popularization, bringing about a growing number of employed and to-be-employed graduates. Therefore, the employment of university students has become a widespread public concern.The outlook on careers, in simple terms, refers to the opinion on questions like"what it employment?","how to obtain employment?",etc. It dominates the expectation, orientation and election of university students'career target, influences their awareness, mentality and behavior, and exerts an oriented effect on the career realization. It is hence of ultimate significance both theoretically and practically to focus and explore the education of outlook on careers among university students.Drawing on the existing theories as well as relevant research methods, based on the principle of ideological and political education, this thesis, by means of literature research, questionnaire survey, interviewing, and empirical analysis, investigates the outlook on careers of undergraduates in Suzhou University, analyzes the findings, and tries to give an in-depth analysis of existing problems in order to reveal both the significance and the causes of problems as far as their outlook is concerned. In light of these reasons, this thesis also puts forwards the countermeasures to enhance the education of post-90s'outlook on careers, which could be realized through the optimization of exterior environment and the refinement of personal qualities. On the one hand, the optimization of exterior environment provides university students with assurance and support, such as the betterment of state policies, the positive orientation of public opinions, the deepening of higher education reform as well as the emphasis on career guidance at university. On the other hand, the improvement of personal qualities, such as getting a clear understanding of employment situation, broadening the viewpoint of career programming, adjusting one's career mentality, and improving one's employment capability, provides inner motivation and mental support for the exterior environment in return.
